'Colour' at the Royal Pavilion
The Royal Pavilion in Brighton is unlike any other royal residence in Britain. Created as a seaside pleasure palace for George, Prince of Wales, later King George IV, it was transformed in the early 19th century into an extraordinary palace of Indian-inspired architecture and lavish Chinese-influenced interiors. Built for entertaining and spectacle, the Pavilion provides a fascinating setting for exploring the food, celebrations and grand occasions of the Regency period.
For ‘Colour’ at the Royal Pavilion, we created handmade sculpted desserts inspired by Carême’s elaborate designs, celebrating the theatricality of Regency dining through food, architecture and craftsmanship.
